View of a planet being occulted by its larger moon. Planet lies some 3,000 light years from Earth. You can see the double ring system behind the moon that surrounds the primary planet. The moon orbits at a distance of 352,000 miles. In the distance, two other moons are seen. The moon at the lower left of the planet lies at a mean distance of 27,000 miles while the other planet in the upper right of the main planet lies at a distance of 118,000 miles. Orbital period of the occulting moon is roughly 27 years. The two other moons have an orbital period of 317 days and 2.1 years roughly.
