M42 - Orion Nebula taken through an 8" f/6.3 using a Canon 300D. Combination of 6 X 5 minute exposures, 1 X 1 minute exposure at ISO1600 and ISO100. Combined and adjusted in CS2.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Again I like the no diffraction spikes on your stars. Is that because your telescope is a catadioptric. I think I remember reading that newtonians have diffraction but catadioptrics don't, but I cant be sure.
I need to upload an image of M42 and 43. I have a widefield view of it and just haven't had a chance to upload it yet.
