Artist's Comments

Orion Nebula taken with the Canon Rebel XTi through an Orion R200SS f/4 Newtonian. Stack of 16 X 30 second exposures at ISO800.

I am limited to short exposures in my area due to severe light pollution.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Thank you. I was quite impressed with the results of this image even though I had taken it from a light polluted area. I wished I had dark skies.

Astromart is a good place for looking where to pick up astronomy equipment for a very good price. For astrophotography, you don't even really need a telescope to do simple stuff with. Do some research on barn door tracking systems for widefield shots. They are a simple device that can be constructed from materials found at home.

Hmm...awesome. I'll do some research to get these equipments. I am looking forward to doing this. Thanks, dude. =D

It would be awesome with no pollution but I think it still came out great :D

Light pollution sucks. DOWN WITH LIGHT POLLUTION... lol. Oh well, at least this telescope is portable enough I can head to the country when time allows.
